a hot tranny baseball mess

before i delve into my day-to-day bitching i thought a funny-ass video would be in order. for those of you who have never seen Project Runway, i'm sorry because it's an awesome show and this SNL skit makes fun of it in a glorious way.

As gay as it sounds - i love tim gunn AND heidi klum. add them together and you get magic. but not as magical as when you add heidi and will ferrel together.
In other news - fantasy baseball is RIGHT around the corner. each year i vow not to do it because of the amount of time it takes up, but it gives me something to do at work to destress when things get cooky.

Speaking of cookies - top chef starts tonight and it will also be hot and fabulout (and hopefully not a tranny hot mess).

in the not-so-much fun-related news - work's been a downer lately. word has it that this year is a "trim the fat, cut a lot of costs year..." Super. I guess they have internal resumes people fill out stating your skill set to determine your worth/value to the company. YAY 2008! And on the home front life is doing alright. Sadly, one of Al's close friends passed away after his long fight with cancer. He was doing better, from what I was told, but this past weekend things took a turn for the worse. Sad. In the world of friends - people seem to be gearing up for the weekend. A weekend of St Patty's day celebrations. Am i excited? I could be. I do love green beer and woogie.

Of what I'm not excited about, I'll say this much, but won't use names because they know who they are and those others know who they are who that person is that i'm referring to who knows that i'm referring to them (say that three times fast). But - some people have been mighty shady as of late, others have shown signs of being quite awesome but I've got to say - when you're roaming with a small circle of friends to begin with - talking shit about them isn't the wisest route to go. Word travels fast in a group that may be diverse and far away but still very tight knit in their own way. The best way to get along is to get along. Far too often people point fingers and blame. They don't come out and say anything and just bottle and talk shit. It's far too 17-years old for me. It's a whole grow up and be a friend or disappear. Then you always hear people say "oh, buy so and so doesn't make an effort, so and so doesn't do this, so and so did this or that or wa wa wa," put up or shut up. It's probably a mighty downfall for me that i don't hesitate too often to tell someone how i feel - right, wrong or indifferent. I'd much prefer to get my thoughts out in the open than to talk shit behind someones back. Granted - i do talk shit when people aren't around (about certain, not all people) but there's nothing i won't say behind your back that i won't also say to your face. fact. if you're being shady for a consistent amount of time i'll let you know - at first in a nice way and a concerned way and then i'll get frustrated. Whether good or not - i've always lived under the "i'm very nice to everyone until that someone(s) f*s with me, then i'll be a real asshole." so just get a long. don't be a hot mess (like in the earlier video). if you talk crap - someone will find out. there's an unspoken amount of trust within the group. all in all - just get along. if something bugs someone - say it. otherwise i'll hire angry midgets to cut your shins.

or i'll have that guy bathe you. (sick)

but yeah - i've got to say, on a whole new topic, watching rich o get drunk off of 3 beers the other night was pretty amazing. i haven't seen that since the 8th grade with a grown man. not only was i impressed that he planned to come over and did, but that he kept drinking delicious beers (spotted cow, fat squirrel and unplugged) and tanked himself within beer 1 and 1/2. quality outing, rich, quality.

anything else in my amazingly long and boring blog?
yes - kim recapped last weekend nicely. cedargburg, wi was a nice, cozy town that moved slower than a sloth on vicadin. i enjoyed myself and enjoyed the winery, the random antique shops and my all-time favorite man in the book store yelling on the phone (not cause he was mad but because that's how he talked). no wonder kids left without any books, they were scared. paying for ice cream by the ounce was 6 kinds of amazing as well as the hollowed out bowling alley lanes, retro 60 year old man with mutton chops and the ungreased lanes. PERFECT. also - the hot tub in the room was fabulous. more fabulous was running it at 10p when we fully knew every old person in the building was asleep since 8p...it was a loud hot tub (the tub, not us. well maybe us, but mostly the tub) and the fact that i was able to watch a VHS for the first time since '99. would i do it again? yes, but in the summer when it's easier to be outside. oh yeah - kim loved the man at the pool hall with the quarter-sized boil on his forehead. he was smokin'. she wanted to push it like the Easy button.

other than that - i don't know if publically said it but i will now - Congrats to Richie for FINALLY getting that job he wanted and moving over to the Emerald City of Allstate.
Good work, buddy!

Alright - that's all I have for today. It's a long mo-fo post. So soak it in and love it. And stop the hatin'! Get ready for green brew and have a good hump day.

and to the notion of proving myself at work this year -
